Dinner for Gaza (Baltimore, MD)

On Sunday, January 25th, 2009, the Baltimore chapter of the PCRF held a fundraising dinner to raise awareness and funds for the current humanitarian crisis facing the people of Gaza. The dinner was held at the Lebanese Taverna in Baltimore and was well-attended, raising over $30,000 that will help purchase food, medicine, and clothing for those in desperate need throughout the Gaza Strip.

Press Release

For nearly two weeks, the people of Gaza have been suffering under the military assault by the Israeli army, after years of siege and closure, leaving hundreds of thousands of children suffering from hunger, poverty, and from the lack of adequate medical care. While direct medical aid is difficult due to the closure of Gaza by the Israeli military, the PCRF has been providing food for hundreds of children in the central and southern areas of the Gaza Strip, where the population is the most marginalized and poor. More urgent aid is required for Gaza during these days – please support our efforts help the children and families in Gaza, by attending our Dinner for Gaza.
