Boy Returns Home After Surgery in Tampa

After three major surgeries and months of therapy, teenager Qais Doudin is going back to his family in the West Bank town of Hebron. He spent his young life suffering from a congenital deformity in both his legs, which could not be treated in Palestine. The PCRF sent Qais to Tampa where he had an amputation of his left leg and was fitted with a prosthetic leg. He also had multiple surgical procedures on his right leg at the Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children in Tampa. Thanks also to Dr Maureen Maciel and her team who cared for him, our amazing host family who hosted and took care of him as one of their own and our PCRF Tampa chapter Qais is now able to walk again better than ever before and is finally almost home with his family in Palestine.
