PCRF Sponsors summer camps
for disabled youths in Palestine
In June and July of 2006, the PCRF sponsored summer camps in each district of the West Bank and Gaza Strip, providing thousands of poor and disabled youths free social and cultural activities during their summer break. Children have too few opportunities to enjoy normal activities, especially children who suffer from physical or mental disabilities. By bringing children from different backgrounds together in Palestine, we are hoping to break down the cultural stigma facing children with physical disabilities in Palestinian society, as well as provide children and their families a normal childhood experience at a time when children in Palestine are suffering extreme political and economic hardships.
