The Founding of the PCRF-SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA
In the summer of 2005 a group of concerned community members
who were familiar with the PCRF gathered to determine how to
help contribute to the PCRF. That was the beginning, today the
chapter is 36 members strong and growing.
Who We Are
The Bay Area Chapter of the PCRF is composed of a diverse group
of people concerned about the welfare and the health of the
arab children in conflict zones. The activities of the group
are focused on fundraising, providing support for visiting children
in the Bay Area, and outreach.
Our Mission
To help relief the pain and suffering of arab children in conflict
zones. The PCRF chapter in the Bay Area has dedicated volunteers
committed to helping and increasing the effectiveness of PCRF
through fundraising, community outreach, and supporting visiting
children under treatment.
In 2006, the chapter organized 3 main fundraisers and was successful
in raising a total of $250,000 for PCRF. The Bay Area PCRF chapter
helped find and coordinate with host families for arab children
treated in the northern california area, the chapter also provided
social activities support for the treated children. Last, but
