Evening of Dance Held to Aid Palestinian Children

On Saturday, August 4th, a group of Canadian volunteers held a fundraising event for the PCRF at the Denman Island Community Center on Denman Island in British Columbia, Canada. The event, which was titled "Raqsat al-Amal" or "Dances of Hope", was an evening filled with wonderful dancing provided by other volunteers, many of which serve as dance instructors in their communities. The evening of dancing was well-attended and well-received by people from the surrounding communities. The event sought to raise both money and awareness to the plight of the children in Palestine and it raised nearly two thousand dollars.
