Pediatric Orthopedic Team Treats Kids in Jericho
On May 3rd, a 3-member team arrived in the West Bank town of Jericho to start a week of orthopedic surgery on children through the PCRF.


Injured Boy arrives in
New Jersey for Surgery

On April 18th, 17-year-old Baha Sleem from the Old City of Nablus arrived in New Jersey for reconstructive surgery following an injury in June, 2004 in which an Israeli bomb killed his older brother and injured the rest of his family as they stood on the roof of their home.

Eye team treats people in Nablus
On April 12, a 4-member team of doctors and nurses arrived at Rafidiah hospital in Nablus to being a week of cataract surgery on poor people in the northern West Bank.


American nurse trains Palestinians in Nablus, Lebanon
In late March and early April, Lynn Gras traveled to Lebanon to train nursing students and local nurses in basic life support, advanced cardiac life support, pediatric advanced life support and STABLE training.

New Zealand Surgeon returns to Palestine to save lives
On March 26, Dr. Alan Kerr, a senior cardiac surgeon (ret.) from Greenlane Hospital in Auckland, New Zealand, and perfusionist Jean-Luc Charlier arrived in Palestine for a month of treating Palestinian children with congenital heart disease at Makassed Hospital in East Jerusalem.


PCRF surgery mission treats children in Beit Jala Hospital

On March 15, Professor José Ricardo Yañez Pizarro and his wife, anesthetist Dr. Ximena Castillo from the University of Concepción, in Chile arrived in the West Bank town of Beit Jala to begin a week of surgery on Palestinian children with congenital urological malformations, particularly children suffering from hypospadias.


Cleft mission treats children in Ramallah
On March 1st, a 3-member team of doctors and nurses from the USA arrived in the West Bank town of Ramallah to begin a week of cleft lip and palate surgery on children born with facial deformities.




French team treats injured patients in Gaza, trains doctors
On March 7, a 5-member team of doctors and nurses from France arrived in the Gaza Strip for a continuation of the training program of local hand surgeons, as well and treating some difficult cases at Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis.

PCRF Food Distributions continue in Northern Gaza
In late April, The PCRF continued its food distributions in Gaza by giving out over 70 cases of food to poor families in the Jabalia refugee camp and Zaitoon area. This is the second food distribution to Gaza in the last month, the first one went to Southern Gaza in late April.

In late March, early April, the PCRF continued to respond to the crisis in Gaza facing poor and disabled children by providing basic necessary food products for at-risk persons.
