On Tuesday, September 12, four Palestinian babies born with congenital heart disease were treated by pediatric cardiologist Dr. Stefano Di Bernando from Lausanne, Switzerland, at the Palestine Medical Complex (PMC) in Ramallah. He was joined by Dr. Rula Awwad from Bethlehem, a pediatric cardiologist, as well as local staff. These four babies were saved from having to travel outside of the health system and across checkpoints for treatment, and now will have a chance for better lives.
