Volunteer

The P.C.R.F. is proud to say that we offer people a positive and peaceful way to contribute to the complex and frustrating Middle East Crisis. Much of the P.C.R.F.’s success throughout the years has depended on the willingness of volunteers to participate in our projects. In the past, the P.C.R.F has been unable to bring children for treatment because we could not locate the necessary volunteers in the area where the child was to be treated. We currently have a long waiting list of injured youths needing to come here for treatment and we hope this appeal will result in the response of those who are interested in this Middle East Crisis. Here are a few ways you can donate your time:

Become a Host Family:

One crucial means of volunteering is to open your home as a host family for an injured child being treated locally in the U.S. Many children in the past have had to delay their treatment unneccessarily, because we could not find housing in the area of their treatment. Therefore, finding good housing for the children is one of the most important aspects of bringing children here for treatment. We have hundreds of volunteers throughout the country that have opened their homes to an injured youth and we hope that this number continues to grow. Even if you can only host a child for a weekend, it is often important to help relieve the work of one family

Take Children to Appointments/Visit Children in Hospital

Volunteering to take our children to their medical appointments or visiting them in the hospital is another great way to volunteer your time to an injured child. Host families are sometimes unable to take the child to medical appointments, so volunteering for this role can be a big help to both the child and the hosting family.
