Sending Volunteer Surgery Teams to Palestine
Belgian Cardiac Surgery team, February/March, 2000
In the winter of 2000, the PCRF sent the 12-member team of volunteer
pediatric cardiac surgeons from the University of Gent in Belgium to
Ramallah Hospital. Led by Professor Van Nooten and surgeon Katrien Francois and
cardiologist Dr. Bert Suys, the team worked for a week and treated many sick
and dying babies.
