Treated through "Save A Child's Heart" Program, Wolfson Hospital,
Holon.
Since
1999, the PCRF has been working with the "Save A Child's Heart"
program at Wolfson Hospital in Holon to send sick Palestinian
babies for open heart surgery that is not available to them
in Palestine. The PCRF covers the $2,500 per operation, hospital
and doctor fees.

In
April, the PCRF, in cooperation with Save a Child's Heart
and Light to the Nations, send 2-year-old Maha Shbair from
Maan/Khan Younis in Gaza to Wolfson Hospital for life-saving
open-heart surgery, which was not available to her in Gaza.

surgery to close a hole in her heart
Boy
Sent to Israel for Life-Saving Surgery
The PCRF has agreed to pay for urgent life-saving
surgery for 2-year-old Waed Qdih from Khan Younis, Gaza at
the Wolfson Hospital in Holon, Israel. This is part of an
ongoing project with Save a Child's Heart to treat Palestinian
children with congenital heart disease who cannot be treated
locally. Dozens of children have been treated at Wolfson Hospital
and SCH with the PCRF over the past few years.

PCRF Sponsors Dozens More Children in 2nd Quarter, 2003.
In the second quarter of 2003, The PCRF continued to sponsor
sick children with heart disease through the "Save A
Child's Heart" program at Wolfson Hospital in Holon.

"Three Gaza Babies Sent for Life-saving Surgery to
Wolfson Hospital"
In May, the PCRF sent three sick babies with
congenital heart disease to Wolfson Hospital in Holon in cooperation
with Save a Child's Heart and Shevet Achim. One-month
old Somaeh Zaid Mahmoud Elatar from Gaza City was admitted
on May 4th suffering from tricuspid atresia with mild PS,
small VSD, small PFO. She had a BT Shunt operation done.
One-month old Mona Abud Al-Gani Al-Tawil from Kha Younis
was admitted on May 8th suffering from a Big VSD, aortic stenosis
with gradient about 60 mmHg plus pulmonary atresia and
truncus arteriosus. Also admitted on May 8th was two-month
old Miriam Mohammed Ali Yousef from Rafah. She was suffering
from a Big VSD (multiple VSD's) plus ASD and pulmonary
hypertension. Please donate to the PCRF to help us send
more children from Palestine for urgent life-saving surgery.
