Italian Pediatric Cardiologist Treats Patients in Ramallah

This week, Italian pediatric cardiologist Dr. Roberto Tumbarello, the Head of the Division of Pediatric Cardiology at G Brotzu Hospital in Cagliari, Italy returned to volunteer in Palestine and provide invasive cardiac catheterization on children in the Palestine Medical Complex in Ramallah. Six children had their heart defects repaired by Dr. Tumbarello during his mission, saving them from having to have open-heart surgery. Dr. Tumbarello has been on several past volunteer PCRF missions to Gaza and the West Bank, and was also supporting children in the PMC ICU after surgery by Dr. the team led by Dr. Stefano Luisi.
