Medical Missions: Vascular Surgery

Vascular Surgeon Treats Refugees in Lebanon
On August 7, Dr. Munir Zufari, an American-Arab vascular surgeon living in Damascus, returned to Haifa Hospital in the Bourj Al Barajnah refugee camp in Beirut to treat Palestinian refugees with vascular problems. Dr. Zufari has been volunteering with the PCRF for several years and is training local doctors in Lebanon, as well as providing services which are otherwise not available for the local population living in the refugee camps throughout the country. The PCRF is committed to serving the humanitarian needs of the Palestinian refugee population living in the diaspora as much as we are to the needs of the population living under military occupation in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. Several missions have already been sent by the PCRF to Lebanon in 2008.
