New Zealand Team Returns to Save Lives in Palestine

This week, a ten-member team of doctors and nurses from New Zealand returned to the Palestine Medical Complex in Ramallah to provide life-saving open-heart surgery for sick children with congenital heart disease. Led by long-time PCRF volunteer, the "father of pediatric cardiac surgery in Palestine" Dr. Alan Kerr, the mission included Italian pediatric cardiac surgeon Dr. Alessandra Oggiano, Anesthetist/intensivist Dr. David Buckley, intensivist Dr. John Beca, pediatric cardiologist Dr. Clare O'Donnell, Perfusionist Thomas Hick, and ICU nurses Nicola Gini, Christine Armstrong, Warren Nairn and Natalie Kettle.
