“Healing Hearts” Campaign: the Gaza Strip
Life-saving clinical care for Gaza children with congenital heart diseas
After successfully opening the first free-standing Pediatric Oncology Department in Bethlehem, the PCRF is working to create a Pediatric Cardiac Department in the Gaza Strip.
Your donation will help us provide life-saving surgeries to children in desperate need of cardiac procedures which were previously unavailable in the region.
The department is built in honor of a great humanitarian Palestinian woman who gave her life to helping others.
The Huda Al Masri Pediatric Cancer Dept. was built in Beit Jala Government Hospital in the West Bank by the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund and opened officially on April 6, 2013. It was built in honor of the late PCRF Head Social Worker, Huda Al Masri. The department is able to provide 18-20 children from all over Palestine cancer treatment through the public sector, meaning that their treatment is covered by the national health insurance of the Palestinian Authority.
