This week, a three-member team of therapists from Spain is in Lebanon for an assessment mission to evaluate the needs of refugee children with cerebral palsy (CP). The team - Selam Delgado Gallen, Nuria Carnicero Campmany and Maria Goretti - are members of the Barceloa-based NGO Fisios Mundi. Children with CP suffering not only from the disease, but also from the lack of services, inadequate treatment, and improper home care and management. The goal of this mission is to assess the needs of the children and local NGOs in Lebanon, and to work with the PCRF to build up a long-term vision to help improve the quality of care for these children in the future.
