While the PCRF is committed to providing expert surgery for sick and injured children, we also are dedicated to assisting needy children with various emergency and humanitarian needs. The crisis facing Palestinian and Arab children in the region far exceeds just those kids needing specialized surgery, which is why we continue to provide so many other services that are desperately needed. During the recent crisis and siege in the Gaza Strip, the PCRF was one of the leading organizations in providing food, medicine, blankets, and other critical supplies to the thousands of displaced Palestinians living in the Gaza Strip.
In addition to our emergency relief efforts, the PCRF provides other kinds of humanitarian aid to help those who are struggling with other basic needs. The PCRF frequently distributes powder milk for malnourished children and diapers to needy children with poor families. We also donate school bags, eyeglasses, and specialized orthopedic shoes to those who need them. Thousands of children and families are helped each year from the PCRF’s various humanitarian projects.
