This week, Dr. Etienne Brain, an oncologist from the René Huguenin Hospital in Paris, arrived in the Gaza Strip on his first volunteer mission with the PCRF. Dr. Brain is reviewing the issue of cancer treatment for sick patients in the Gaza Strip and helping to identify ways that the PCRF can help to provide relief for them, as well as training and support to their doctors. The PCRF is the main organization in the Gaza Strip helping to take on the issue of cancer, particularly in children, with the building of the Dr. Musa & Suhail Nasir Pediatric Cancer Department, which will open in 2018.
