This week, a four-member team of surgeons from France returned to the West Bank town of Jenin to continue their bi-annual mission of providing hand surgery and other specialized orthopedic care for children. Led by Dr. Domonique Le Nen, who has led over a dozen volunteer missions with the PCRF in the past few years, the team included orthopedic surgeon Dr. Florence Mallard, anesthesiologist Dr. Jean Brannellec, and plastic and hand surgeon Dr. Alexandra Trimaille. The team will not only treat over two dozen patients who otherwise would not get the care that they need, but also provide much-needed training and experience to the local doctors in an effort to improve the quality of medical care in the Jenin area.
