Gazan Boy Sent to Jordan for Life-saving Kidney Transplant Surgery

15-year-old Mohammed Al Qonfod from Gaza was diagnosed with kidney dysfunction and is in need of a kidney transplant to help save his life. The PCRF sent Mohammed and his family back to Jordan this week where he is scheduled to undergo a kidney transplant procedure. Last year Mohammed was supposed to receive the kidney from his father, but when he arrived in Jordan, the father was found to not be the match his son needed. This time, Mohammed's mother will donate one of her kidneys to help save her son's life. The family will undergo exams by Dr. Waleed Masoud and Dr. Saleh Abu Romoh to determine the next phase of care. Mohammed and his family will be under the care of our Jordan chapter and local staff.
