Muath Abudaher is a 16-year-old boy from Deir El Balah Refugee Camp in Gaza who traveled to Detroit to start treatment for a customized prosthetic leg. The boy lost his leg from an osteosarcoma and first traveled through the PCRF in 2013, when he was fitted with a prosthesis. He has since outgrown it and returned to Detroit for a new leg, where this week he had his first appointment and was measured for his new leg at Vilminot Prosthetics Clinic. He will be under the care of prosthetist Kainnon Vilminot, and is being hosted by our PCRF Detroit chapter.
