This week, a three-member team of volunteers from Europe arrived in Lebanon to start a week of hand surgery on children at the Safad Hospital in the Badawi Refugee Camp. Let by French surgeon Dr. Asan Rafee, the team includes anesthesiologist Dr. Geoffrey Sloan and nurse Tanya Tordoff. The PCRF cooperates with the Palestine Red Crescent Society in Lebanon to help support these missions, and the PCRF is the main nonprofit sending volunteer missions there to treat refugee children.
