In October 2015 16-year-old Waad El Zerei, was shot in his right leg while walking near the Gaza border, resulting in an above-knee amputation. This week, the PCRF managed to get him to Boston, where he will be fitted with a new customized prosthetic leg which will enable him to walk again. Waad will receive his new prosthesis at a Step Ahead Prosthetics and Orthotics through the generous help of the Heather Abottt Foundation, who helped us to arrange Waad’s care. The boy will be cared for by our PCRF Boston chapter, who have been helping care for several children from Palestine over the past few years. – See more at:
