This week, a volunteer team of doctors from Italy are at the European Gaza Hospital in Khan Younis providing invasive catheterization on children with congenital heart disease. Led by long-time PCRF volunteer Dr. V. Stefano Luisi, the team include pediatric cardiologists Dr. Roberto Tumbarello and Dr. Vittoria Delucia together with the anesthesiologists Dr. Fabio Panetta, Dr. Carmelo Vullo, and the Perfusionist Dario Fichera. The PCRF is the only NGO in Palestine running pediatric cardiac surgery missions to save the lives of children in Gaza.
