This week, a three-member team of doctors from the USA are in the Syrian refugee camps in Lebanon to provide care and treatment for children. Led by pediatric oncologist Dr. Zeena Salman, who is also the main medical consultant for our children's cancer projects in Palestine, and joined by Ohio pediatrician Dr. Helai Ghani, and Dr. Semeen Samea Ghani, the team are examining hundreds of children who do not have access to specialized pediatric care. The team will then arrange care and treatment for children through our "Syrian Children's Relief Project" in Lebanon, and help support their medical and humanitarian needs.
