PCRF Joins MOH and World Bank in Advancing Mental Health Initiative for Early Childhood Development

The Palestinian Ministry of Health (MOH) has launched a transformative project, "Improving Early Childhood Development in the West Bank and Gaza," in collaboration with the World Bank. Focused on children from gestation to age 5, the initiative aims to elevate the quality and reach of Early Childhood Development (ECD) services. Acknowledging the vital role of mental health and psychosocial support, the MOH is prioritizing capacity-building for health and ECD practitioners in Gaza. Training encompasses vital aspects like detection, assessment, treatment, and support for children needing mental health assistance. Six specialists from PCRF participated in this training, with three set to apply their knowledge starting next week. This collaborative endeavor promises to nurture not just physical growth but also cognitive and emotional well-being. As an international NGO, we're proud to contribute to this project, fostering a brighter future for Palestinian children and strengthening the community's resilience.
