This week, American Pediatric Neurosurgeon Dr. Ian Mutchnick from Norton Children’s Hospital in Louisville, KY led a medical mission into the Gaza Strip to start operating on children at the EGH hospital in Khan Younis. Dr. Mutchnick will provide complex surgeries for children who suffer from problems with their brain and nerves. He is supported by surgeon Dr. Yamaan Saadeh from Ann Arbor and a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner who specializes in Acute Care, Abigail Self. These humanitarians are alleviating the suffering our children in Gaza are facing by bringing them the medical care that would not be available locally.
