Two Amputees Return Walking to Gaza

Twelve-year-old Abdelrahman and 7-year-old Miar returned to Gaza today after traveling to the United States to receive lower limb prosthetics earlier this year. Abdelrahman had suffered a gunshot wound to his left leg during The Great March of Return in Gaza Strip and underwent an amputation locally. He received his prosthetic from Yankee Bionics in Cleveland, Ohio. Miar had suffered from a crush injury that resulted in a lower limb amputation in 2015. She and her mother traveled to San Francisco in order for Miar to acquire a lower limb prosthesis from LIM Innovations. Miar and her mother were hosted by a generous volunteer in the community. PCRF feels so grateful for the Cleveland community and the Bay Area chapter for all their support. Both children traveled back home to Gaza together today with the ability to walk independently.
