Join Team Palestine for PCRF on Sunday, October 9th to run in the streets of Chicago for the 44th Bank of America Chicago Marathon, one of the world's top 6 marathons. This will be Team Palestine’s 13th straight year participating in the Chicago Marathon, raising funds and awareness to provide medical and humanitarian relief to children throughout the Levant, regardless of their nationality, politics or religion.
For the 2022 Bank of America Chicago Marathon, Team Palestine will raise funds for PCRF’s Gaza Pediatric Mental Health Initiative. Help us support the humanitarian needs of tens of thousands of Gaza’s children who have been psychologically traumatized from direct exposure to violence.
In 2014, the entire population of Gaza, which is 50% children, was subjected to 55 days of bombardment from land, sea, and air, resulting in thousands of dead and injured civilians. The PCRF initiated a field study in which they found thousands of children suffering from high forms of stress and anxiety as a result of witnessing the violence firsthand. Since 2015, PCRF has been providing counseling and therapy to children in Gaza to help them overcome PTSD, anxiety, and other mental health challenges. The nonprofit also trains local Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) to help them better respond to this crisis facing children in Gaza.
Your donation will help us to continue our programs in Gaza for children with these issues and to provide them the kind of care that they need and deserve.
Whether you are a beginner or veteran runner, Team Palestine’s certified coach will help you get across the finish line and achieve your personal goals. Join our group training runs in the Chicagoland area to push you to race day.
Whether you run in kilos or in miles, run with us to save lives!
