Eye surgeons provide free care in Hebron

On March 13, Dr. Francis Nathan, an ophthalmologist from Australia, and Dr. Amal Al-Sayyed, an ocuplastic surgeon from Amman, Jordan began providing surgery on patients at the Alia Hospital in the West Bank town of Hebron. Dr. Nathan has been on over a dozen past surgery mission for the PCRF to the West Bank, Gaza and Lebanon, providing thousands of Palestinians sight-saving surgery. This is Dr. Amal’s first volunteer surgery mission to Palestine with the PCRF. Past ophthalmic missions were all at Rafidiah Hospital in Nablus, and this is the first international mission to Hebron for eye surgery.
