On Saturday, October 8th, our PCRF DC-Metro Chapter held a Family Picnic in support of a PCRF's One-Time Medical Sponsorship case, Ghazal, an eight-year-old Palestinian refugee in Lebanon who is in need of an ASD closure, a $5,610 life-saving heart procedure.
This memorable picnic event was well attended by many new and familiar faces from the community, and included fun activities like face painting, popcorn and cotton candy stands. The chapter successfully raised enough to cover Ghazal’s surgery and more! Congratulations to the DC-Metro Chapter for organizing such a successful event. We are thankful to our DC Metro Chapter members for their hard work organizing this event, and to the generous donors, attendees, and volunteers for their dedication to PCRF.
