The PCRF Jacksonville Chapter invites you to its 1st Annual Gala Dinner, Roots of Resilience, on Saturday, September 20, 2025.

Join us for an inspiring evening of unity and hope as we come together to strengthen the roots of resilience for the children of Palestine.

The evening will feature special guests and speakers who bring powerful personal and professional insights to the cause.

Special guest and MC Amer Zahr is a Palestinian Arab American comedian, speaker, writer, academic, and adjunct professor at University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. He draws on his experiences growing up as a child of Palestinian refugees, performing and lecturing on topics like society, culture, identity, Palestine, Islam, and more. Amer has made appearances in major media outlets like CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, and Al-Jazeera. Through comedy, Amer brings attention to important causes, using his platform to amplify voices that are often unheard.

The evening will feature special guest speakers who bring powerful personal and professional insights to the cause.
Guest speaker Omar Baddar is a Palestinian-American media commentator and public speaker known for his appearances on CNN and Piers Morgan Uncensored. He offers insightful perspectives on culture, identity, and the Palestinian experience. With a background in communications and international affairs, he focuses on empowering youth and promoting global understanding through dialogue and media.

Guest speaker Dr. Sidhwa is a general and trauma surgeon at San Joaquin General Hospital in Stockton, California. He recently completed two humanitarian missions in Gaza, serving at the European Hospital and Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis. He also addressed the UN Security Council with firsthand testimony from the region. Dr. Sidhwa is dedicated to mentoring youth and promoting community-based hope and education.
