In January 2022, the Columbus chapter enrolled 47 children, ages of 7 to 17 into their Dabka training program. The chapter and PCRF take pride in this annual initiative to teach Palestinian folklore dance. The students were divided in four groups and after 8 weeks of training, they performed in a dance recital/PCRF fundraiser at The Ohio State University campus. Family Dabka Night was a joint effort, with PCRF-Columbus and PCRF- OSU student club, held on March 5th, 2022. In attendance were 350 guests including parents, families, and college students. The initiative and event successfully raised over $65,000 to help children in the Middle East. We are grateful to our Columbus team for their commitment to PCRF and for instilling culture, tradition, and history in their community and teaching their children to give back to others in need.
