The PCRF mental health team commenced the implementation of "Fun Days" on Friday, August 18th. This initiative is designed to support 400 children who were exposed to traumatic events during the recent conflict in Gaza that occurred last May. Additionally, it aims to assist a group of children who experienced trauma during the August 2022 conflict. These children are receiving both individual and group psychotherapy to alleviate symptoms and enhance their overall well-being, particularly if they have experienced the loss of family members, displacement from their homes, injuries during the conflict, witnessed distressing scenes, or encountered other challenging situations impeding their quality of life.
From the outset, the program engaged participants through activities at the Champions Academy. The first phase targeted 100 children from Gaza City and the central region. The camp's diverse range of activities catered to different age groups, all aimed at reducing stress and promoting healing.
