As part of its One-Time Sponsorship Program, the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund (PCRF) continues its efforts to support vulnerable children in Lebanon who are living with severe and complex medical conditions. This month in North Lebanon, PCRF delivered a series of critical medical interventions, providing surgeries and assistive devices to children with cerebral palsy, neurological disorders, spinal deformities, and more.
The children who benefited from this month’s intervention include Aline, 8, who received bilateral KAFOs and splints to support her mobility following complications from Moya Moya disease. Oussama, living with cerebral palsy and scoliosis, was provided a medical corset. Ali, age 9, underwent an adenoidectomy at Haykel Hospital, improving his breathing. Tania received a standing frame to support her physical therapy for CP. Meanwhile, baby Ahmad completed pre-operative preparations for an upcoming life-saving surgery for Hydrocephaly–Myelomeningocele at New Mazloum Hospital, sponsored entirely by PCRF. Youssef was fitted with a bilateral KAFO and CP wheelchair, and Mohamad, a Syrian refugee child with CP, received both KAFO and AFO orthotic devices.
These services were fully funded by PCRF in cooperation with local providers such as Mawas Medical Center and Promedical – North Lebanon, ensuring that children have access to the care and equipment they need.
PCRF remains deeply committed to improving the quality of life for children in Lebanon and throughout the region. By delivering personalized medical support, the organization offers dignity, mobility, and hope to families in crisis.
