Dr. Burak Ozgur is a neurosurgeon specializing in minimally invasive spine surgery. He recevied multiple awards and recognition for excellence in his field from both patients and peers in the field of neurosurgery. He has a private practice in Irvine, CA. Dr. Ozgur participated in his first medical mission with the PCRF in 2016. He led a team of three doctors who operated on patients with neurological and spine issues at Rafidiah Hospital in the West Bank town of Nablus. With his team of medical professionals, Dr. Ozgur was able to screen, diagnose, and treat over 80 patients in a short 7 day trip. Dr. Ozgur did a second mission trip in November of 2017. His medical specialty, neurosurgery, makes his volunteer work with the PCRF even more valuble, as the local infrastucture to provide medical care for brain and spinal conditions and injuries is severely lacking. While on medical missions, Dr. Ozgur also spends time training the doctors and surgeons in Palestine on the latest trends and practices within his specialty. Dr. Ozgur has also spoken about his missions with the PCRF at various fundraisers, in a lifelong humanitarianm and an advocate for humanitarian relief in Palestine, and throughout the Middle East.
