Fatmeh is key in producing much of the content of the newspaper, and also collaborates with freelance reporters based in the West Bank, Jordan, Egypt, and London, to bring readers the latest in international news, politics, and entertainment from the region. Fatmeh is the president of the Arab-American Press Guild, a board member of the Union of Palestinian American Women, founder of Arab-Americans for Syria, is part of the NAM network (New American Ethnic Media), a devoted mother to her 3 children, and can always be relied upon when help is needed. From things as simple as driving children to their doctor’s appointments, and translating between doctors and patients, to the more important tasks of caring for the children after their surgeries and treatments, Fatmeh has never said ‘no’ to helping a child in need. For this, Fatmeh deserves recognition, and is the recipient of the 2019 Huda Al Masri Spirit Award.
