Nasser Barghouti is an independent human rights and civil rights activist as well as a software entrepreneur. He is a member of the board of directors of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of San Diego and Imperial Counties; he is also a member of the steering committee of the US Campaign for Palestinian Rights. Originally from Ramallah, Palestine, he grew up in Egypt and immigrated to the US in 1981. He lived in New York City prior to moving to San Diego in 2001. Nasser holds BS, MS, and PhD degrees in Computer Science from Columbia University.
