On Sunday, 11th of September, over 300 runners and walkers from all over the Chicagoland area participated in TP4PCRF's Annual Selma's Sweets & Frozen Treats Run 4 Peace event!
The event was held on the campus of Moraine Valley Community College and included several categories: a 5K run, a 1-mile walk, and a kids' dash. The day was complete with many cultural elements, delicious food, and fun activities for the whole family.
This initiative brought awareness and raised much needed funds to benefit the rehabilitation and expansion of a Pediatric Vaccination Center in Bethlehem. Despite the heavy rainfall, the event was well attended and successful. Thanks to our hard working volunteers, generous donors, and supportive sponsors, the comeback of this event after two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic, was a strong and heartwarming one.
