Your expertise can help save a child's life and strengthen the care available to children who need it most.

PCRF's medical missions bring volunteer healthcare professionals to children who face significant barriers to specialized medical treatment. Led by dedicated volunteer medical teams, these missions deliver essential care, perform specialized procedures, and help expand the capacity of local healthcare providers.

In the first half of 2026, PCRF deployed 20 medical missions across Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon, and Jordan. Behind every mission is a network of medical professionals who give their time, expertise, and commitment to children who may otherwise wait months for treatment or have nowhere else to turn.

Who Can Volunteer?

Medical Missions Built on Long-Term Commitment

PCRF's medical missions are more than short-term deployments. They are built on long-standing relationships with volunteer physicians and healthcare professionals who continue to return, share their expertise, and help expand access to specialized pediatric care.

Under the leadership and guidance of experienced medical professionals, including Dr. Imad Al-Tamimi, President of PCRF's Medical Advisory Board, these missions draw on a global network of expertise. Our volunteers come from countries including Egypt, Jordan, the United States, Mexico, Australia, and Japan, among others.

Missions take different forms depending on local needs and available resources:

  • International medical missions: Volunteer teams travel from around the world to provide specialized treatment and care to children in need.
  • Local medical missions: PCRF mobilizes local medical experts to provide specialized care at hospitals in their own countries and communities, helping reach more children who need treatment.

More Than Treatment: Building Local Capacity

Alongside treating patients and performing specialized procedures, volunteer teams may work with local medical professionals through training sessions, knowledge-sharing, and hands-on collaboration. These efforts help strengthen clinical skills, share specialized expertise, and build local capacity to care for children beyond the duration of a mission.

This work continues even in extraordinarily challenging environments, including Gaza, where medical professionals face immense obstacles while caring for children with urgent and complex needs.

For a child who has waited a long time for treatment, a medical mission can mean a chance to receive life-changing care. For healthcare teams, it can mean access to expertise, training, and collaboration that continue to benefit patients long after the mission ends.

Be part of the team that brings specialized care within reach for children in Palestine and beyond.
