Iraqi Baby Returns Home After Life-Saving Surgery

18-month old Rawan Al-Kubaisi was born with a heart defect that could not be treated in her war-torn country of Iraq. Due to the internal conflict there, her family were displaced and were unable to arrange this complicated and risky surgery. The PCRF helped to sponsor her treatment with our friends at the UK-based Chain of Hope NGO in Bangalore, India, where she had life-saving surgery at Narayana Hospital. This week, Rawan returned to her family in Iraq, fully recovered. The PCRF is dedicated to helping to heal the wounds of any child in the Middle East regardless of their nationality, religion or creed.
