Dr. Walid Massoud, a vascular and kidney transplant surgeon and a member of our Board of Directors, returned to Gaza Strip to perform five kidney transplants in partnership with the local medical staff at Al-Shifa Hospital, in addition to several vascular surgeries that are not available locally.

This visit is considered a continuation of the kidney transplant program aimed at developing the skills of local surgeons and medical staff in the Gaza Strip and giving them modern surgical skills for kidney transplantation and vascular surgery to be able, in the near future, to perform these type of surgeries. Dr. Massoud completed twenty-five kidney transplants in the Gaza Strip during his previous missions.
