Palestinian Recovering from Major Spine Surgery in Dallas
Palestinian Recovering from Major Spine Surgery in Dallas

Fourteen-year-old Ameer Khanfar from the West Bank town of Nablus is recovering in Dallas, Texas after traveling to the Scottish Rite Hospital there through the PCRF to correct his severe congenital scoliosis. He had had fusion surgery at the age of five and needed a second surgery six months later to remove the rods due to an infection. As he was unable to get the treatment he needed in Palestine, we sent him with his mom three months ago to Dallas to undergo the surgery that would change his life. Thanks to the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital and particularly Dr. Charles Johnston, who has been on several missions to Palestine for the PCRF, Ameer will soon be ready to return home to his family. Ameer and his mom are being hosted by our PCRF Dallas chapter, who have cared for several children we have sent there for free care over the years. - See more at: http://pcrf.net/Palestinian-Recovering-from-Major-Spine-Surgery-in-Dallas.html#sthash.hgdBZZr6.dpuf
