
The Palestine Children’s Relief Fund (PCRF) provided urgent surgical interventions for 13 children in Palestine and Lebanon through its One-Time Surgical Sponsorship Program, ensuring access to lifesaving healthcare for those in need.
In Palestine, 6-year-old Qasem from Tulkarm underwent adenoidectomy surgery at Al-Israa Hospital. Adam, also from Tulkarm, received corrective surgery for vision impairment. In Nablus, 4-year-old Ibrahim from Balata Camp was treated for chronic ENT issues through adenotonsillectomy with ventilation tubes. From Jenin, 4-year-old Cila from Maithaloun village had a liver cyst excised.
In Lebanon, 1.5-year-old Fatouma, a Syrian child, received surgery to correct a congenital heart defect (VSD closure). Newborn Mariam (24 days old) underwent urgent surgery for hydrocephalus. Four-month-old Salman, another Syrian child, had inguinal and umbilical hernias repaired. Maher, 12 years old from North Lebanon, underwent ENT surgery to improve breathing and hearing. Adam is scheduled for strabismus surgery in both eyes. Three additional Syrian children—Rafif, Mohamad, and Bader—received emergency procedures for conditions including colostomy, arm fracture repair, and tumor removal. Imad from North Lebanon received EEG diagnostics as part of ongoing neurological evaluation.
These critical surgeries, fully covered by PCRF, are part of the organization’s regional efforts to ensure every child—regardless of nationality or financial status—has access to specialized medical care.
