This week, the PCRF joined with UNRWA and Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) to sponsor the life-saving open-heart surgery for two-year-old Palestinian refugee from Syria, who is now living in Badawi camp near Tripoli, Alaa Hussein. He was born with multiple other congenital anomalies. He underwent open-heart surgery at Hammoud Hospital, which was performed by Dr. Issam Al Rassi. This was arranged through our "One-Time Child Sponsorship Program" that arranges treatment for children whose families are too poor to care for them.
