Special Milk Delivered for Babies and Children With PKU In The Gaza Strip

PCRF delivered 365 packs of PKU milk to the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip to help children (under 3 years old) suffering from a genetic disease called phenylketonuria disease (PKU). There are 250 children with PKU throughout the Gaza Strip, 25 of whom are under three years old. They all need this important milk to help prevent developmental delays, intellectual disability, behavioral issues, and other health problems. Unfortunately, this kind of milk is expensive and not readily available, and most families in the Gaza Strip cannot provide it for their children. This humanitarian project is one of many being implemented throughout the Gaza Strip that targets a specific need to help relieve the economic burden on families and bring relief through humanitarian aid and medical relief. Thanks to the PCRF-Chicago chapter and their community for sponsoring this project through the Pars-4-Palestine Golf Benefit Event held in July this year. This is one of 6 Gaza-based projects their generous donors helped cover.
