This week, a five-member team of Swiss doctors and nurses arrives in the West Bank town of Jenin to start a week of volunteer plastic and reconstructive surgery on burned and injured patients. Led by plastic surgeon Dr. Volker Wedler from the Center for Plastic Surgery in Venenklinik-Bellevue Klinik, the team includes nurse and team coordinator Bergundthal Astrid, surgical assistant nurse Fuchs-Jeckelmann Eveline, OR nurse Lorenzi Micaela, and nurse Stampfer Brigitte. This is their first mission to Palestine for the PCRF and we thank them for their support and hard work in helping our children.
