9-Year-Old Manal From Gaza Joins The Amputee Project

This week, the PCRF Amputee Project team, along with the We Can! team followed up with Manal, an incredibly brave nine-year-old girl from the central Gaza Strip. Manal was born with a deformity in her left lower extremity, but thanks to the dedicated efforts of the PCRF Amputee Project, she recently underwent a successful below-the-knee amputation. This life-changing procedure was carried out by a medical mission led by pediatric orthopedic surgeon Dr. Marc Sinclair from The Little Wings Foundation in collaboration with PCRF. To ensure that Manal receives the comprehensive care she requires, she will soon be referred to Hamad Hospital. There, she will receive rehabilitative treatments and be fitted with a prosthetic limb. Additionally, she will receive mental health services to support her overall well-being. Thank you to our donors worldwide for supporting the Amputee Project. Together, we can create a world where everyone, regardless of their abilities, can thrive and reach their full potential.
