Alaa's Journey of Healing and Hope through the PCRF Amputee Project
Alaa's Journey of Healing and Hope through the PCRF Amputee Project

13-year-old Alaa from Gaza experienced an unfortunate accident a few months ago that resulted in the amputation of his right leg below the knee. Despite this challenge, Alaa remains positive and bright, with a remarkable aptitude for learning. He diligently attended physiotherapy sessions and engaged in rigorous training for his prosthetic limb through our partnership with Hamad Hospital. Alaa dreams of becoming a nurse in the future. This aspiration is a testament to his determination and ambition. This year, he enthusiastically participated in the activities at the PCRF Camp Ability for Amputees. This experience allowed him to forge new connections with his peers and make new friendships. In his journey of recovery, Alaa holds a deep appreciation for his parents and PCRF for providing him with invaluable psychological support through the Amputee Project. The guidance and care he has received from Hamad Hospital have also played a pivotal role in his progress and well-being. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our generous donors for their unwavering support, which has empowered Alaa's journey of healing, hope, and participation in the Amputee Project.
