
PCRF's American pediatric cardiac surgery team, led by Dr. Adil Husain, arrived at the European Gaza Hospital in the southern Gaza Strip to perform complex open-heart surgeries for children with congenital heart problems, this comes after a three-year interruption of this type of operation in the Gaza Strip due to the Corona pandemic.
The team consists of thirteen volunteers led by pediatric cardiac surgeon Dr. Adel Hussein, accompanied by two pediatric cardiologists, an anesthesiologist, an ICU physician, a physician assistant, a perfusion specialist, a technical operation specialist, four ICU nurses, and a doctor of nursing. During the last ten years, the PCRF has hosted more than 700 volunteer medical missions consisting of thousands of volunteer doctors and specialists from all over the world who give their time and expertise to treat thousands of children for free.
