This week, a six-member team of doctors and nurses from the USA arrived in the Gaza Strip to provide surgery on children with injuries and congenital malformations. Led by returning volunteer surgeon from the Swedish Medical Center in Seattle, WA Dr. Angel Hanna, anesthesiologists Dr. Michelle Barnes and Dr. Mark Reed, surgical technician and assistant Annette Augustine, RN Clinical Nurse Leader Post Anesthesia Care Unit Tracy Glenn, and OR nurse Christie Jucht. We are grateful to have this team volunteering their time to provide Gaza's children the care that they need.
